Vanderjeugd had to answer for the first time in the Kortrijk court on January 7 for a regard for interest in two cases. The Public Prosecution Service demanded fifteen months in prison, a fine and the forfeiture. The defense asks his acquittal.

Today it was up to the court to judge whether there is a conflict of interest. Vanderjeugd himself denies that. But this morning the ruling was postponed. The court wants to rewlalify one case of interest in a heavier offense, namely ’embezzlement of documents’. This includes prison sentences of five to ten years. For the mix of interest, this is from one to five years.

The debates reopen on March 4.
