He was one of the hottest names on the Deadline Day. Now the change from Mathys Tel from FC Bayern to Tottenham Hotspur is probably through. The young Frenchman initially hires on a loan in London – but could permanently turn his back on the German football record champion.

First he should go, then the deal was already considered burst. Now the change from Mathys Tel from FC Bayern Munich to Tottenham Hotspur has apparently taken place.

As the British daily “Evening Standard” reported on Monday evening, the 19 -year -old storm talent hires until June 2025 on loan in London. As was also known, Tottenham has secured a purchase option at the end of the season. An official confirmation of the two clubs involved was not yet available at the time of going to press.

With the change of the young Frenchman from Säbener Straße to White Hart Lane, a day -long transfers come to an end. At the weekend, the Spurs with FC Bayern had already agreed to a loan until the end of the season – including a purchase option of over 60 million euros.

FC Bayern: Mathys tel blew up two changes

However, Tel let the deal burst because of the lack of athletic perspective. A transfer from Tel to Manchester United had also smashed on the weekend.

The Red Devils had sought a loan business according to “Sky”. Bayern, on the other hand, would only have wanted to sell Mathys Tel or a loan with a purchase obligation, as it finally came about with Tottenham. The overall financial package is also not said to have met the expectations of the German record champions. The trace that led to Arsenal London ultimately remained cold.

With the Spurs, which currently only occupies the 15th place in the Premier League, Tel will probably be much more demanded than last at Bayern. Under coach Vincent Kompany, the U21 international France only came to 14 competitive games over 458 minutes in the current season, in which he only managed one goal.

With a total of 16 goals and seven assists in 83 compulsory games for Bayern since his commitment of Stade Rennes in the summer of 2022, his balance sheet in Munich is not so bad. Nevertheless, it should be noted: the proof of being a permanent candidate for the record champions’ starting eleven remained guilty in two and a half years.
