They were drug addicts and finished men day in day out to get their syringe or snuff. Men who were waiting in long rows to get to their convenience to the Tippelaars for an apple and an egg. Documentary maker Roy Dames followed the women in the late 1990s from very close by for his Girls van de Keileweg series. Now, 25 years later, he visits the women again: what has become of the addicted prostitutes of the time? “It was disappointing to me.”
