BVB lends Chelsea talent-and secures the purchase option

Dortmund struck again shortly before the end of the transfer image. The Westphalia grabbed a top talent from England.
Carney Chukwuemeka will be the next new addition to Borussia Dortmund this winter. The English U20 international comes from Chelsea to Westphalia and is loaned for the time being. The club reported this on Monday evening.
In a corresponding message, it was also said: “In the negotiations with the ‘Blues’, BVB secured an option that enables the club to bind Chukwuemeka firmly beyond the lending.” The amount of this “option” was not mentioned.
The Dortmund hope for a lot from the central midfielder. “Carney is an extremely talented box-to-box player who has caused a sensation in the Premier League at a young age,” Windde sports director Sebastian Kehl quoted. In the highest English division, Chukwuemeka did not play a game this season. For this purpose, he was used four times in the Conference League.
Kehl is meanwhile convinced: “His dynamic, his train to the goal and his assertiveness paired with a large football class make him an exciting player who has not been through all the young teams in England since the U17. This development has recently been something in London Stocking.
