Actually, Stefan Posch was supposed to return to TSG Hoffenheim two and a half years after his departure, but Atalanta Bergamo has successfully hijacked the deal. The 27 -year -old defender will be loaned to La Dea until the end of the season. What was first reported by the Gianluca di Marzio editorial team confirmed the Italians on the Deadline Day. The deal includes a purchase option.
After Posch was a regular at FC Bologna in the first two years, the Austrian had to share the position this season with Emil Holm (24) and Lorenzo de Silvestri (36). In series A, he was on the pitch in 14 games over 709 minutes. There were also six missions in the Champions League – all in the starting eleven. Posch recorded a minus of 4 million euros in the most recent market value update and will be rated at 10 million euros.
The national player in Austria made his breakthrough in Hoffenheim and made 126 games for the Kraichgauer between 2017 and 2022. Posch was supposed to stabilize the defense of the TSG, which is the third parties in the Bundesliga with 40 goals. Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini currently has to do without the injured Odilon Kossounou (24) and Giorgio Scalvini (21), so that there was a catch-up requirement in defense.
