The former president of the Spanish Football Federation, Luis Rubialesofficially on trial for giving a forced kiss on the lips to the player Jenni Hermoso during the awarding of the World Cup in Sidney. The 47 -year -old was accused of sexual aggression and intimidation towards the athlete and his prosecutor. The Audiencia Nacional of San Fernando de Henares (Madrid) will be the venue where the hearing will take place. Asked for a sentence of two and a half years of imprisonment.

After being indicted in 2024, the former president of the Spanish Football Federation Luis Rubiales will have to respond to the crime of sexual aggression towards the footballer Jennifer Hermoso. Among the other managers involved are Jorge Vilda,
Coach of the women’s national team from 2015 to 2023; Ruben Rivera, RFEF marketing director; and Albert Luque, sports director of the selection. All were accused of intimidation towards the woman, induced to speak in favor of Rubiales to close the case. For these people, the prosecutor has been asking for convictions for 1 year and a half in prison and 100,000 euros of damages and will be
questioned on February 12th.
THE’Audiencia Nacional he had established in the indictment that the kiss given by Rubiales it was not consensual and that constant pressure on Hermoso in the following weeks have been exercised. It will be the footballer who open the interrogations in which 27 people will be involved.
