The Ski World Association FIS found a new venue for the men’s descent from Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which can be canceled on Sunday (02.02.2025).

The race, which could not take place on the training days due to fog, is now to be held in Kvitfjell in Norwegian on March 7th. The FIS announced this on Monday.

The cancellation in Garmisch was controversial, according to the German Ski Association (DSV), not all options were exhausted. “It already affects us that you have not allowed any alternative or solutions”said DSV alpine director Wolfgang Maier.

Both training sessions had to be canceled with fog and a soft slope due to bad weather. No competition will be held in the departure without training.
