Megan would really like to participate in that tournament in Houston because she might earn a scholarship there. In America she could then train and study. “That is much better arranged there than here in the Netherlands,” says father Marcel Snoek.
Speculaas, Oliebollen and Easter Buns
But it is a costly trip for which Megan thinks he needs about three thousand euros. “That is why we started selling Speculaas Poppen with Sinterklaas and with the New Year’s Eve,” says Megan. Her employer Triflor from Oude Niedorp sponsors tulip bulbs that Megan can also sell. “And then we will then sell chocolate baas hare,” the swimmer concludes.
In addition to that extra work, Megan also just goes to school and works at the tulip company. So far Megan has 1200 euros collected And she is confident that she will save enough for her trip. “But extra sponsors are still welcome,” laughs Megan.
