Saïd Benrahma leaves Olympique Lyon and joins the second -class NEOM SC in the Saudi First Division League. A loan business with an integrated purchase option, which becomes a certain prerequisite, has been agreed: If the NEOM SC rises to Saudi Pro League at the end of the season, offensive player Benrahma is firmly signed. OL puts the transfer fee agreed for this case at 12 million euros, to which a further 3 million euros can come to bonus payments.
The 29-year-old Algerier can rise to the most expensive purchase in the history of the NEOM SC in summer. The previous record is held by the 8.5 million euro right-back Abdulmalik Al-Oyayari (20), which was only hired by Al-Taawoun last summer. Benrahma, in turn, was contracted by Lyon in 2024 after the previous 6 million euro loan by buying an option for 14.4 million euros, he came from West Ham United. In the current season, the left wing for Lyon will score three goals and six templates in 22 games.
