The fourth prank: Eintracht Braunschweig adds again in the winter transfer window. The latest reinforcement comes from FC Basel from Switzerland.

Eintracht Braunschweig continues the transfer offensive. In Mohamed Dräger, the penultimate of the 2nd Bundesliga made the fourth winter obligation perfect on Thursday. The 28 -year -old right -back comes from FC Basel and signs a contract with the BTSV until June 30, 2026.

What the club bosses of Eintracht particularly convinced: the native of Freiburg has a good portion of experience. Dräger already ran 39 times for the Tunisian national team-including at the Africa Cup 2019 and at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. For the Swiss top club FC Basel, he brought it to 24 missions. In the current season, however, he was over and only played one game.

Eintracht sports managing director Benjamin Kessel welcomes the transfer. “Mohamed characterizes a good aggressiveness against the ball and a variability in possession of the ball, and it can also be used flexibly on both outer lanes,” he is cited in the club notification. “He should bring in his experiences, his urge to offend with his high quality and help us with his positive energy.”

For Dräger himself, the move to Braunschweig means a return to Germany. Born in Breisgau, he had also taken his first steps in professional football. For SC Freiburg and SC Paderborn, he completed 20 Bundesliga games. He also made Piraeus, Nottingham Forest and FC Luzern station in his previous career.

“I have never lost my focus to Germany and I really wanted to go back,” emphasizes Dräger. When Eintracht’s request came, he didn’t have to think long. Now he wants to fully attack with the BTSV. “It’s about doing everything together for relegation, then we will achieve this goal,” he says.

The 28-year-old is the fourth transfer of the BTSV in the ongoing winter transfer phase after Ron-Thorb Hoffmann (goal, FC Schalke 04), Lino Tempelmann (midfield, FC Schalke 04) and Julian Baas (midfield, Sparta Rotterdam).
