Marcel Hirscher caused a sensation with his comeback in the Ski Alpin World Cup at the beginning of the season. At the beginning of December the bad news followed: cruciate ligament tear in the left knee. The Austrian does not rule out a new return.

“That’s how far I go. I’m quite happy, my doctors are also satisfied,” Marcel Hirscher told “Eurosport” on the edge of the giant slalom in Schladming.

He can do without walking aids “for a month. This is very cool, everyday life is passable and the rehab is also good. I am not allowed to complain,” reveals the 35-year-old about the healing course.

Hirscher had contracted a cruciate ligament rupture in the left knee at the beginning of December and has been damn to watch since then.

“I have a big goal and that is physically as fit again as I was before,” reveals the Austrian and said about his future: “When I have achieved it – and that’s a high goal – then I can do it about it Think how to proceed. “

At the beginning of the current season, the two -time Olympic champion celebrated his sensational comeback after a five -year break. “What remains is the love of skiing. I will ski again. The question is at what level,” said Hirscher in an interview with the TV station. His visit to the giant slalom in Schladming was “only the second ski race that I experience as a viewer. This is a very, very cool experience,” he explained.

Hischer is one of the most successful skiers of all time with eight overall World Cup victories, seven World Cup titles and two gold medals at Olympics.
