Mathys Tel could still leave FC Bayern in winter. There is enough interest in the young striker.
14 missions, most of them no more than half an hour, a gate template, no goal – that is the sobering record of Mathys Tel in the current season 2024/25. The striker cannot prevail at FC Bayern this year, gets little time under coach Vincent Kompany.
In December it looked like the 19-year-old wanted to bite through the German record champion. But apparently Tel realized that he will not collect many minutes of use under Kompany. Before the final Champions League game against Slovan Bratislava (3-1), he sat on the bench for 90 minutes for three games.
It is not known whether the Munich team would sell or lend their strikers. But which clubs are interested in the player who caused a sensation in the previous season? On Thursday, the French media reported “L’équipe” and “Le Parisien” that Bayern are said to have agreed on a change with Tottenham Hotspur. Bayern goalkeeper Harry Kane’s long-standing club would have offered around 60 million euros for the services of Tels (you can read more about this here). The 19-year-old attacker is currently supposed to consider whether he would like to agree to the move to London.
It has been clear for weeks: There are some interested parties for Tel. Eberl said on Wednesday evening that “very rarely” so many clubs had registered as in the Causa Tel. Especially from the English Premier League, such as Tottenham, and from the Bundesliga are interested in some clubs. However, Tel itself should prefer a move to England.
Among other things, FC Chelsea had also informed itself according to Tel, as several media reported. According to reports, however, Tel did not want to switch to the “blues” because the competitive situation there was as high as that in Munich – and therefore playing time cannot be guaranteed.
Also interested with Arsenal FC seems to be another club from the English capital. According to “tz”, the “Gunners” Tel observed before moving to Munich. After the injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus, the club is looking for a wing striker. This profile corresponds to Tel.
And there is another interested party from the island, as it seems. According to the well-informed journalist Fabrice Hawkins, the English Champions League club Aston Villa has a great interest in a commitment. With John Duran, a striker of the “Villian” moves to Al Nassr to Saudi Arabia. That is why the royal class of the end of the term is looking for a successor.
Tel is also highly in demand in the Bundesliga. The German champion Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt is said to have had great interest in an obligation. In the case of the two clubs, however, the squad square may have been awarded elsewhere. Because at Leverkusen, the change from Sturmtank Victor Boniface to Saudi Arabia has surprisingly burst, Eintracht won Elye Wahi as a replacement for Omar Marmoush.
