As in many inner cities, the knight passage in Hameln in Lower Saxony is also characterized by vacancy. The local investor and fashion retailer Holger Wellner wants to do something about it.
Wellner, together with the Retail-Expert: Inside Konrad Knoblauch GmbH, a concept that is supposed to provide more frequency in the shopping arcade, said the architecture and interior specialist. They said goodbye to conventional ideas and planned “something completely new” for the approximately 1400 square meter area.
“This passage has been in a slumber for many years and now Holger Wellner will wake it up with our help,” said Knoblauch trend scout Alex Gehle. “We want to create an excitingly curated concept store here that acts as a community place. So a mix of various industries, textile, beauty, second-life, gastro that creates a shopping experience and encourages people to stay. ”

A flexible usage concept is planned for the ground floor that moves between showroom and gastronomy. A second-life concept and a tailoring including Wedding Lounge in the basement are also planned. Inventory apartments and a practice should be preserved on the first floor.
The knight’s passage originally built in 1984 is partially listed. Nevertheless, the complex, taking into account the associated regulations, should be connected to the adjacent fashion house Wellner.
