Two wounded swans were saved from the mud on Wednesday afternoon by the fire brigade. They were stuck in a meadow on the Sasweg in Sprang-Capelle. Two firefighters in special suits went into the pasture to free the animals from their suffering.
A bird spotter noticed the two injured animals and called in help. In the first instance, the animal ambulance came to the Sasweg and they then called the fire brigade. The wounded swans eventually went with the animal ambulance.
