Primark is launching a new adaptive collection for women and men.
The collection was developed together with Victoria Jenkins, a designer for adaptive fashion, said Primark on Tuesday. There were 49 items of clothing that are tailored to the needs of people with permanent and temporary disabilities.
In the current collection, magnetic zippers and snap buttons should make it easier to put on, while hidden openings for tubes, stomas or catheter are used.
“I am happy to see this collection live and to bring adaptive fashion to the shopping streets for the first time. People with disabilities come across many barriers in their lives, and clothes should not be any of them, ”said Jenkins. “We designed clothing that is not only functional, but also fashionable and affordable, because everyone: R deserves it to feel good in his outfits. I hope this inspires the industry to continue working on more accessibility and inclusiveness for everyone. ”
Primark thus ties in with his first step, in which the clothing provider launched an adaptive underwear collection at the beginning of 2024.
In Germany, the adaptive collection is available in the Stores Berlin on Alexanderplatz, in Essen am Kennedyplatz, on the Zeil in Frankfurt, in the Q6Q7 Mannheim shopping center and at Münchner Ollenhauerstrasse.
