The Italian fashion group Aeffe Spa felt the adverse market conditions in the 2024 financial year. On Thursday, the parent company of brands such as Moschino, Alberta Ferretti and Pollini announced that it had to accept considerable loss of sales. The company also announced the separation of Moschino boss Goffredo Palmerini.
According to preliminary figures, Aeffe’s corporate sales were 250.8 million euros last year. This corresponded to a decline of 21.3 percent (disabilities -21.2 percent) compared to 2023. The proceeds in the Prêt-à-porter segment therefore fell by 21.8 percent to 166.1 million euros, sales with shoes and leather goods shrank by 25.3 percent to 106.2 million euros.
In all market regions, sales clearly missed the previous year’s level. In Italy, he decreased by 20.6 percent to EUR 106.4 million, and in addition to EUR 76.5 million in the rest of Europe. In America, revenues decreased by 20.3 percent (currency -adjusted -20.2 percent) to EUR 15.4 million, in Asia and the rest of the world by 21.4 percent (adjusted currency -20.8 percent) to 52.4 million Euro.

Despite the sobering results, Executive Chairman Massimo Ferretti was confident. With a realignment of the Moschino brand and strategic changes to Alberta Ferretti, the group has already reacted to the current situation, he said. “We are now going into the new year with an optimistic and positive attitude,” emphasized Ferretti in a statement.
The group also announced that Goffredo Palmerini, General Manager of Moschino, will leave the company. Following the “strategic and commercial redefinition” of the brand, the employment relationship of Palmerini “ends in mutual agreement” on March 31st, according to a statement. Palmerini had run Moschino since the spring of 2023.
