Medical experts after Belgian baby first: “Hopefully uterine transplantation will be reimbursed someday”

The medical experts behind the first Belgian birth after a womb transplant hope that this procedure will ever be recognized and repaid. The mother, who underwent a uterine transplant in 2018 because of the Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome, gave birth after years of intensive follow-up of a healthy baby.
