The car is then equipped with license plates that have been stolen in Witmarsum, Frisian. At night the Volkswagen was seen with the stolen license plates on Julianaplein in Groningen.
Only 48 hours later the car was spotted again, just after the burglary in the Drents Museum. Shortly after that burglary, the car burned out was found at Rolde, a stolen license plate was also found. The police say that camera images can be seen how another car stops close to the car fire and then drives away in the direction of Nooitgedacht.
The police are still in the dark about where the stolen Volkswagen stood on Thursday and Friday. The police assume that the car has been parked somewhere in the Northern Drenthe and Assen area, possibly with the stolen license plate K-813-BK.
The police are looking for tips about the stolen and burnt -out Volkswagen Golf and for information from the area where the car and the license plates were stolen. The Gray Volkswagen Golf was stolen on Wednesday evening from the Ingelandsstraat in Alkmaar. The K-813-BK license plates were stolen that same evening or night from Aylvaweg in Witmarsum.
