According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the move of four-time German international Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund to Italian first division club SSC Napoli is getting closer.

As the Italian reported on Platform X, both clubs are close to reaching an agreement.

The broadcaster Sky reported on Thursday that the currently weak Revier club from the Bundesliga was open to selling the 23-year-old left winger. However, it was also said that Adeyemi did not want to move in the winter.

According to expert Romano, there is a transfer fee of 40 million euros instead of the usual 50 million euros. Adeyemi, who was transferred to Dortmund from the Austrian club RB Salzburg two and a half years ago, still has a contract with BVB until 2027.

Long break after torn muscle fiber

So far, the Munich-born offensive player has played 79 competitive games for Dortmund, scoring 19 goals and assisting 13. This season he missed many games due to a torn hamstring.

BVB, which is only tenth in the table before the upcoming Bundesliga duel against Werder Bremen on Saturday (3:30 p.m./Sky) and after four competitive defeats, only announced its separation from coach Nuri Sahin on Wednesday.

The BVB share fell a moderate 0.31 percent to 3.24 euros in after-hours Tradegate trading on Friday.
