The police have released images of the Suspects of the Art Reaf in the Drents Museum. Three suspects appear on it who let an explosive go off.
Due to the heavy explosion around 3.45 am, windows fell and the museum building and surrounding buildings were damaged. Several museum treasures from Romania were stolen during the burglary. The masterpieces, including a golden helmet of Cotofenesti and three golden bracelets, would be exhibited for the last time tomorrow and return to the country of origin on Monday.
Between Rolde and Marwijksoord, half an hour after the explosion in Assen, a burning car was found under a viaduct. The police assume a link with the explosion and robbery at the Drents Museum. No one has been arrested yet.
