As a HBO teacher, I am proud to do socially relevant work. I get satisfaction from the thought of being useful, even during the less interesting parts of my work. At breakfast with my 16-year-old son I sigh out aloud: “Today I have to check project reports of students all day. Saaaaai. ” His reaction: “Well, I think the students really enjoyed writing them.”
