No surprise among the names chosen by the vote of fans, players and media. Stop the classic East against West: there will be a mini tournament with four teams
The years pass but the protagonists are always theirs. From Lebron to Curry, from Jokic to Antetokounmpo, the faces of the NBA do not change. The League announced the ten players who will be the owners of the All Star Game, scheduled in San Francisco on the night between Sunday 16 and Monday 17 February. The choice was based 50% on the fans’s vote, for the remaining 50 on the preferences of players and journalists. The 14 “reserves” will be announced in a week.

The most voted by the public was Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, to the ninth call for the game of the stars. Together with him, for the Eastern Conference, we find two Knicks players, Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson, the star of the Celtics, Jason Tatum, and that of the Cavs, Donovan Mitchell. On the other hand, space for the three veterans: Stephen Curry (Warriors), Kevin Durant (Suns) and Lebron James (Lakers), first forty years old starting in a quintet in an All Star Game. Together with them, three times Mvp Nikola Jokic (Nuggets) and the possible next winner, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Thunder.
On the bench the coaches that guide the two best NBA teams for record: Mark Daigneault of Oklahoma City and Kenny Atkinson of Cleveland.

It will be an all star game never seen before. After suffering several criticisms in past editions – last year the challenge ended 211 to 186 for the selection of the East – Commissioner Adam Silver decided to change. The 24 players will be divided into three teams, to which is added the winner of the Rising Stars (formed by the players in the first two years of career). So here is a mini tournament with new rules: the two semifinals will be at the best of the 40 points, the final at the best of the 25. To decide the composition of the three teams of All Star will be three legends of NBA: Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith.
