Franz Wagner is back on the floor and was able to prove his skills again after his long injury break.
After a long break, Franz Wagner returned to the NBA parquet for Orlando Magic, but there was no success. The 23-year-old and his team clearly lost the Portland Trail Blazers with 79: 101 (39:47). Wagner had missed 20 games because of an abdominal muscle tear and was back in action since December 6, 2024.
Afterwards he said: “Of course it was great to play again. Before the game I was pretty nervous because I was out for a long time. But I felt quite good.” Despite the defeat, Wagner was directly Orlando’s best thrower with 20 points.
Franz Wagner is the best paid German athlete in history. He extended his contract with Orlando Magic in July of last year. For the next five years, the world champion receives $ 224 million (the equivalent of around 214 million euros).
