Serie C and the Italian Football Coaches Association will remember the victims of the Holocaust by celebrating “Remembrance Day” during the matches of the 24th day of the championship, which will be played between Friday and Monday. This last date, which marks the liberation of Auschwitz in 1945, has become a moment of reflection for every conscience since 2000.

All Serie C coaches and their respective deputies will receive a copy of Primo Levi’s book “If This Is a Man” before the start of the matches, while a famous phrase by the writer will appear on the pitchside LEDs: “If you understand it is impossible, knowing is necessary.” An initiative, this one by Serie C and Aiac, towards culture and knowledge, since only through the daily exercise of memory can the repetition of the horrors of the past be avoided, transmitting to the new generations the values to be protected in the future.
