Formula 1 record world champion Lewis Hamilton has achieved a viral hit with his first photo in a red Ferrari racing suit.
After moving from Mercedes, the Brit posted a picture on social networks in the traditional Italian racing team’s overalls and collected hundreds of thousands of likes within just a few minutes.
On Instagram, it only took a little over half an hour to get a million likes. “The first time in red,” the 40-year-old Brit wrote about the picture on X and on Instagram.
“I’m really looking forward to the beginning of this new era and to getting to know and working with an incredibly talented and inspiring group of people,” the seven-time world champion wrote on Monday alongside photos of his inaugural visit to Maranello, Italy. “I am determined to do everything I can to deliver results.”
Hamilton drove for the Silver Arrows from 2013 to 2024 and is starting a new chapter in the premier motorsport class in the season that begins in Australia in March.
The old master’s big goal is to win his eighth World Cup title. He is currently tied with Michael Schumacher for record champion.
