Southampton FC and West Ham United have mutually ended the loan agreement for winger Maxwel Cornet in the summer. After just 187 minutes in four games for the newly promoted Premier League team, the 28-year-old, who is tied to the Hammers until 2027, is moving on to Genoa CFC.
The Serie A club has signed the 31-time Ivorian international on loan until the end of the season. In Genoa, Cornet is the second winter signing after the Danish defensive talent Sebastian Otoa (20). Coach Patrick Vieira’s team is currently in 12th place.
