Talking helps, the young people say. For example, someone says: “Knowing that it’s okay to not feel good about yourself, but that you have to keep talking, no matter how difficult that is.” For example, half of young people indicate that talking helps to strengthen their mental health. A third of young people who never talk about mental health also indicate this. In addition, many young people believe that there should be easier access to help, without waiting lists. There should also be less emphasis on school performance and adults should expect less from young people. Young people who have experience with mental problems find this especially important.

CMO STAMM shares the ideas and advice of young people with schools, governments and involved organizations, so that it can be discussed how they can be applied in policy.
