Aisha Van Zele: “I no longer have the urge to look for answers about my adoption. I found them in my own child”

She was abandoned as a newborn, and that affected Aisha Van Zele (40) for a lifetime: she felt rejected, not good enough. It wasn’t until she married Miguel Dheedene last December that she was able to shake that feeling. “I kept asking him: ‘Are you sure?’ That someone ever wanted to choose me voluntarily: I couldn’t believe that.”
