This is how you can organize a match day press conference. To illustrate his thinned-out squad, Lukas Kwasniok came up with something very special.

This performance could reach legendary status. Lukas Kwasniok caused both a strange moment and a few laughs at the press conference before the game against Hertha BSC on Sunday (from 1:30 p.m. in the live ticker on t-online).

The SC Paderborn coach is currently dealing with some injured players, and so that he doesn’t forget anyone, he got creative. “I brought autograph cards with me today so that I don’t forget anyone,” said Kwasniok. Then he held up the players’ cards: “Firstly, Felix Götze, he won’t be available to us. Sven Michel hasn’t trained all week yet. Adriano Grimaldi, speaking of the older men, he’s against Verl Unfortunately I suffered a torn muscle fiber.”

And then it went on, Kwasniok found it difficult to hide his frustration at the sight of the injured players: “Luis Engels has a torn capsule in his knee. Let’s move on.”

Then the player Calvin Brackelmann followed and harsh words from the Paderborn coach: “Due to Viktoria Pilsen’s extremely fair style of play (test match at the beginning of January, editor’s note), we are one man less. That wasn’t a foul, but rather an attack that the Spanish referee weighted and assessed differently. To this day, Calvin can’t even jog, but has dizziness, a stiff neck and moves like a 86-year-old before embalming.”

Sebastian Klaas, Felix Platte and goalkeeping coach Nico Burchert are also missing against Hertha. At the end, Kwasniok holds up all the cards again, looks around and says, almost disillusioned: “I’ll put it this way: That’s a lot.”
