Pediatrician wants a ban on spirits at student clubs: ‘A lot of alcohol in young people increases the risk of seven cancers’

No spirits, but only beer, should be sold at student associations. And the age limit for drinking alcohol must also be raised to 18 in Belgium, otherwise ‘our’ young people will simply drink across the border. That is the next wish of pediatrician Nico van der Lely, who has been fighting like a pit bull against alcohol use among children and young people for years.
