Second divisionist AFC wins and climbs to second place

The Amsterdam amateur club AFC won 2-0 in-house against ASWH from Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht on Wednesday evening. Splinter de Mooij and Joël Tillema were the goalscorers at the Goed Ook sports park.

Due to the win, AFC is now in second place in the Second Division. Ulrich Landvreugd’s team is the reigning amateur champion. The leader is VV Katwijk and is nine points ahead with one game less. The Katwijkers are led by Anthony Correia. Coincidentally, Landvreugd and Correia work together in Telstar’s technical staff.

On Saturday, AFC can start again. This also concerns a home game, then Quick Boys is the opponent.
