The Egyptian striker will sign until 2030: this year in the Bundesliga he has already scored 15 goals and 9 assists
Omar Marmoush will soon be a Manchester City player. The 4-time reigning English champions have reached an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt to immediately sign the Egyptian striker. It will cost 80 million euros, what the German club had asked for after rejecting City’s initial offer of 60 million. Marmoush, who will turn 26 on February 7, will sign a contract until 2030 and becomes the third completed (but not yet official) purchase of a January transfer window in which City, waiting to understand how the negotiations with Juve for Cambiaso will spend 155 million euros for now, just 4.3 million less than what was done in the 8 previous sessions under Guardiola.
GOALS AND ASSIST
—
Marmoush quickly emerged as the big target for City’s attack. in the Bundesliga he scored 15 goals and provided 9 assists in 17 games, to which he added 4 goals and 2 assists in the Europa League. Eintracht dreamed of chasing the Champions League with him, but the offer from the English champions to have him immediately was too important to be postponed. Marmoush will join City’s list of signings for January 2025 which already includes the Uzbek Khusanov, a 20-year-old Uzbek defender arriving from Lens for 40 million euros, and the Brazilian Vitor Reis, an 18-year-old defender who left Palmeiras for 35 million. City’s first makeover may not be over yet.
