Filip Deleye from Wingene started his Tintin collection about 40 years ago, after he received one as a gift for his birthday. “I started collecting as a kind of investment, because the banks yielded almost nothing. A kind of pension savings, so to speak.”
The collection expanded over the years with cookie boxes, mugs, posters, comics and many unique figurines. “The people who show interest in the stuff are not comic book enthusiasts. They are more likely to be image or car fanatics.”
