DOW JONES–Zalando shares were priced 5.4 percent higher in after-hours trading on Wednesday. The online fashion retailer exceeded its profitability target last year thanks to a better-than-expected final quarter. According to preliminary calculations, the adjusted EBIT for 2024 was around 510 million euros and therefore above the forecast 440 to 480 million euros.

Drägerwerk was placed 2.2 percent higher. The company ended 2024 with sales just below and earnings just above expectations. Based on preliminary calculations, sales increased by 0.6 percent after adjusting for currency effects to around 3.373 billion euros. EBIT increased by around 19 percent to around 197 million euros.

Verbio lost 12 percent. The biofuel manufacturer has lowered its EBITDA forecast for the 2024/25 financial year. Verbio now expects an EBITDA result in the mid double-digit million range (previously: 120 to 160 million euros).
