JD (Jouke Douwe) de Vries has been appointed mayor of the municipality of Achtkarspelen. The appointment takes effect on January 30, 2025.
Mr De Vries (54 years old) is a member of the local party S!N. He was an alderman in the municipality of Noardeast-Fryslân until the beginning of July 2024.
Oebele Brouwer is currently mayor of Achtkarspelen.
