January 6. Vanoi Valley, Trentino. About thirty people are trapped in the Cima Paradisi hotel due to an avalanche caused by an earthquake. The series BlackOut – The hidden truths picks up where we left off the protagonists in the previous season. Giovanni (Alessandro Preziosi) is locked up in the warehouse because he is considered a danger after trying to kill Claudia (Rike Schmid), the doctor who saved her daughter Elena’s life. The man had been ordered to kill her because the woman is the witness key to the trial against his brother, boss of a clan.
In this second season Giovanni will try to redeem himself: he confesses his love to Claudia and will try to remedy his mistakes, even if it will not be an easy task. If he manages to leave that place, an immediate trial awaits him. THEMeanwhile his daughter Elena awakens from a coma and it is a sigh of relief for him and his eldest son, Riccardo (Federico Russo). However, the body of another man, after Max’s, is found lifeless in front of the radio transmitter: someone had stabbed him in the throat. It certainly wasn’t Giovanni.
The broker suspects that Umberto killed both Max, owner of the hotel, and the unfortunate Volturnobut no one believes him, least of all Marco (Marco Rossetti), Claudia’s ex-husband and Anita’s father (Juju Di Domenico), who after leaving Lorenzo seems to have feelings for Riccardo. Giovanni will be able to prove that Umberto is the culpritbut the killer escapes into the woods with his daughter Lara.

Black Out 2: the new entries and the locations
At the end of the first episode, while Umberto flees with his daughter into the snowy mountains, help finally arrives by helicopter. Driving the vehicle is Angelo Parri (Alessio Vassallo) of the National Search and Rescue Corpswith him are inspector Federica Guidi (Adelle Dezi) and geologist Sabrina Migliori (Fiorenza Tessari). They are the new entries in the cast. Finally they will bring home the unfortunates of the Cima Paradisi hotel. Or at least that’s what the trapped group hopes.
With the arrival of help the protagonists discover that the earthquake caused the electricity blackout of half of Italy and that they are not the priority at the moment. The intent to bring them home is there, but only six people are allowed on the helicopter at a time. «You will have to travel back and forth», Parri reports to Lidia (Aurora Ruffino), the only guardian of the law until that moment. Federica, by rank, now becomes his superior.
The first to have to leave are Giovanni with his childrenbut something goes wrong. An engine failure prevents departure. What happened? According to Giovanni, someone sabotaged the helicopter. It could have been Umberto. The three do not convince the man who now seems to become the group’s problem solver. On Sabrina’s arm she notices an affiliation tattoo. That the three are men sent by their brother to complete the task that he was unable to complete?

From Alessandro Preziosi to Aurora Ruffino
He returns as Giovanni Alessandro Preziosi and in those of Dr. Claudia Rike Schmid. The man declares his love for the doctor who saved his daughter Elena: in the first episode the teenager wakes up from a coma, but does not recognize either his father or his brother Riccardo (Federico Russo).

There is also Marco, played by Marco Rossetti (on Rai 1 also with One step from heaven 8), Claudia’s ex-husband and Anita’s father (Juju Di Domenico). A new spiral will open for Marco this season. In fact, he discovers that his partner Irene (Caterina Schuhla) worked for Giovanni’s brother and that it was she who informed the boss about Claudia’s whereabouts. Their relationship ends tonight. For Irene it is a blow to the heart that pushes her to make an extreme gesture.
In the first season Lidia (Aurora Ruffino) had rejected motherhood and the role of Carabiniera and then changed her mind. In Black Out 2 she opens up to love and does so with Karim (Mickaël Lumière), suspected of having killed Max, and with little Hamid. Together with the stories of the adult protagonists, the relationships between adolescents move in parallel. Riccardo is in love with Anita, who has left Lorenzo.
