BONN (dpa-AFX) – Party founder Sahra Wagenknecht opened the hot phase of the election campaign with attacks against the alliance with the USA. The economic sanctions against Russia after the attack on Ukraine had nothing to do with the war in Ukraine, said Wagenknecht at a BSW party conference in Bonn.
“The sanctions have nothing to do with morality, they have nothing to do with human rights, they have nothing to do with love of peace, they are simply an economic stimulus program for the US economy and a killer program for German and European companies,” she said.
The USA has “never been interested in human rights and the inviolability of borders,” said Wagenknecht. “For God’s sake, let’s stop believing this crap. It’s about the economic interests of American companies.”/vsr/DP/mis
