numia vero volleyball milan-Honda Olivero Cuneo 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-22)

Nice victory for Milan who beat Honda Olivero Cuneo 3-0. Orro and her teammates, after a fluent first set, find answers to the good reaction of their opponents. MVP is Sylla, but in the success there is a lot of Paola Egonu (26 points with 33 attacks), the classic solidity on the block and the fluidity of an attack that runs at 60%. For Cuneo, a good reaction after a bad first set, the result of greater aggressiveness in serving and a surprising Anna Dodson (12 points), an American middle blocker who arrived in December and is making her first start. Lavarini rests Danesi and starts with Orro-Egonu diagonally, Sylla-Daalderop lateral, Heyrman-Kurtagic in the center with Gelin free. Pintus surprised by starting in the center with Dodson (preferred to Polder) and Cecconello, and Bakodimou and Kapralova on the side, as well as Signorile directing opposite to Bjelica and Panetoni libero. Milan immediately pushes forward on Kapralova, who immediately runs into difficulty, even in attack against the home wall (2 blocks conceded at the start). Egonu, on the other hand, leaves nothing to be desired (8 points in the half), like Numia, who immediately runs away (8-1), with Bjelica stopping at 0 (out of 7 attempts): 25-15 and 1-0. Cuneo starts again in the second half, attacking from 9 metres. Milan is less fluid in attack, and the Piedmontese remain glued. It is still Egonu (another 10 points) who drags the locals, who do not slip, while in Cuneo 9 points from a surprising Dodson are not enough. The 4-0 at the start of the half suggests another downhill set for the Milanese team, but Honda Olivero returns immediately, taking advantage of the opponents’ errors and of a Kapralova who is increasingly comfortable in attack. Cuneo takes the lead (8-10) and stays there until 18-21, then Milan raises their voice in blocking and serving, and closes 25-22 with a 4-0 break that gives full success.

Milan: Egonu 26 points, Muri team 8, Ace team 7 (Orro).

Wedge: Dodson 12 points, Muri team 5, Ace team 3.

Megabox Ond. Savio Vallefoglia-cda volleyball talmassons 3-2 (30-32, 25-19, 25-17, 19-25, 15-11)

A courageous performance is not enough for Talmassons on the day in which they announce the departure of Yana Shcherban, who terminated her contract to fly to Indonesia: the Friulian team loses at the tie break but still takes an important point in the fight for survival. A fluctuating match for Vallefoglia who pays for a less than excellent day for Bici and struggles to maintain a constant level and suffers the aggression of a team which, led by the young setter Eze, manages to find various solutions in attack, despite wasting a lot. In the first set, after a lightning start, the guests risked burning everything in the final closed by an error by Weitzel to gain the advantage. Vallefoglia reacts with the same German central player, protagonist of an excellent blocking match (seven points), while Pistola alternates the two setters Kobzar and Perovic in search of a balance. When she finds the rhythm it is Simone Lee who drags her teammates but Candi also plays a very concrete match. In the fourth set the Marche team were surprised by the return of Talmassons who found in the substitute Pamio the extra weapon to go to the tie break which was then decided by Lee and Bici.

Vallefoglia: Lee 23, team blocks 12 (Weitzel 7), team aces 4

Talmasons: Storck 25, team blocks 13 (Kocic 4), team aces 2.
