The Tourist Storyteller course has only just started and the 16 students are immediately diving into the city center of Bruges. It is therefore a very practice-oriented course, although there is also theory. “One is actually in-depth theory of art history, history of Bruges and the other part is learning to deal with groups, learning to tell your story,” says Thekla Roose of CVO Miras
The training is spread over ten weeks, anyone who is still interested will be placed on the waiting list for the time being. Guided tours are assured for those who ultimately obtain the certificate, because last year the museums in Bruges alone received around 850,000 visitors, which is more than ten percent more than the year before. Interest is increasing from abroad, but also at home.
