The control campaign focused on, among other things, driving and rest times and alcohol in traffic. “It is a large-scale traffic action that we are holding here today, but we are not doing it alone,” says Lien Depoorter of the local police in Bruges. “We also receive help from the local police of Blankenberge and Damme Knokke-Heist. There is also help from federal institutions such as Vlabel, the Riziv, DVZ and customs and of course the public prosecutor’s office is also involved.”
