Tens of thousands of people are affected by the fire in Los Angeles. Marco Reus and his family also live in California. Because he and his wife received a lot of messages, she now spoke up.

His wife Scarlett Gartmann-Reus announced this in her Instagram story. “I’ve received a lot of messages asking if we’re okay (…). We live about an hour away from LA and luckily nothing has happened to us so far,” she wrote.
At the same time, the 31-year-old expressed sympathy for the victims: “It’s just a nightmare to see the pictures. My thoughts are with everyone who is affected and I really hope that this nightmare will end soon.”
Marco Reus and his family live in Newport Beach, a city in Orange County. This is a little south of Los Angeles because the football club’s stadium and training ground are also a little further south.
