Meghan posted a heartwarming update on social media.

Duchess Meghan says that her pet dog Guy was involved in many significant moments in her life. PDO

Duchess of Sussex Meghan talks about her great sadness on Instagram.

Meghan says her pet dog Guy has died.

– I have cried too many tears to count them, the duchess writes.

– Thank you for the many years of your unconditional love, my sweet Guy.

Meghan says that she adopted Guy the beagle from a found animal shelter in Canada in 2015. According to the Duchess, Guy would have been euthanized just a couple of days later if she hadn’t adopted the dog.

The word “Guy” can be translated into, for example, “hepu”, “guy” or “type”. In her publication, Meghan tells a story related to the dog’s name.

– He was called “little horse” because he was so small and fragile, so I named him “Hepu”. And he was the best boy a girl could wish for, the duchess writes.

Meghan recalls how Guy was by her side in many important moments of her life.

– He was with me Suit men [-sarjassa]when I got engaged (and then married), when I became a mother, the duchess recalls.

– He was with me in everything: silence, chaos, calm, comfort.

The Duchess has written the label “adopt, don’t buy” in her publication. Those who use the tag usually appeal to people to get their pets from thrift stores.

The release includes a video showing moments from Guy’s life. If you don’t see the embed below, you can watch it by pressing here.
