In recent weeks, the members of the Ensor Academy viewed dozens of productions that were on the longlist. In the first round of voting they chose five nominees in 22 categories. The selection for documentary and short film was made by a professional jury.
The most nominations this year go to ‘Julie Zwijgt’ and ‘Holy Rosita’ starring Daphne Agten, which each received twelve nominations. This is followed by the film ‘Skunk’ with ten nominations. The series ‘Moresnet’, with nine nominations, and ‘STYX’ with seven nominations also often return to the shortlist.
Furthermore, ‘J’aime la vie’ and ‘Kameleon’ each received six nominations. The second season of ‘Nonkels’ is on the nomination list five times, while ‘Milano’ and the second season of ‘Chantal’ each received four nominations. ‘De Magnet Man’ makes it to the nomination list three times, just like the series ‘Juliet’. ‘Why Wettelen?’ collects two nominations, and ‘Assizes: The Insulin Murder’ and the second season of ‘Billie vs Benjamin’ each count one nomination.
