Yvonne Coldeweijer thinks that RTL must seriously be careful that Winter Vol Liefde does not succumb to sensationalism. “I don’t want to have anything imposed on me. This just feels very fake.”

RTL 4 is very concerned that the entire country continues to watch B&B Vol Liefde and Winter Vol Liefde, because the incredible cashcows are for the transmitter. However, it seems that Peter van der Vorst’s channel is doing increasingly crazy antics to keep people interested. There is now a lot of criticism about the season premiere of the winter edition.

‘This is fake, fake, fake’

The storyline about participant Mike and his mother Monique, who receive a girl full of extensions (Denise), is particularly annoying. “Winter Full of Love can immediately be written off as a fake. As if bimbo Denise comes to Mike (mother from hell included) as love material. Too bad,” says Xinfluencer MiesBee, for example.

And columnist Jan Dijkgraaf in his column: “You don’t want to tell me that Mike’s mother Monique is really such a mother in law from hell as we were presented with yesterday in episode 1. Fake, fake, fake. That’s always the case with these types of programs, but you went too far with season 2 of Winter Vol Liefde, Peter van der Vorst.”

Yvonne critical

Yvonne Coldeweijer wakes up from her hibernation to express the same criticism. “I like the winter edition [normaal gesproken] even more fun than the summer edition, but I didn’t like it at all. I got the feeling as if the makers wanted to make me think something or something, especially with that boy’s mother who is in the picture all the time,” she says on her Insta.

“I just feel that the makers want me to think: oh, that mother! I don’t want that to be imposed on me. I think it’s too typical or something.”

Gorgeous extensions

Things are going too far now, Yvonne thinks. “I think the strength of B&B is that those characters are a little bit peculiar and in that dating process and so on what comes out of it, but now with that mother and then that girl with those, ugh, gross extensions, that I think : girl, you are also being filmed from behind, who really wants to be on TV.”

She thinks authenticity is hard to find. “I don’t like that. I want people who really come there for the love and for that person.”

Obvious

Of course, such a program always attracts those types of people, Yvonne continues. “Of course there is always a small element of: are they also coming for that gigantic castle? But now it is whole obvious. For some people who are very upset, I think: why are you shoving this down my throat, RTL?”

“I don’t think it’s subtle anymore. So I don’t like it at all so far. I’m just sad that I don’t have anything to look forward to anymore. That fake stuff I’m not excited about it.”
