It accident happened yesterday afternoon around 2:30 PM in the barn yard. Beemster farmer Astrid Francis writes on social media that her daughter got her loose hair caught in a rotating conveyor belt and suffered serious facial injuries. Her other children saw the accident happen.
“She is not in danger of dying, never been happy either,” the farmer wrote on Facebook. Lieke has now undergone surgery. “She will need a lot of luck and time to recover properly. We have been overloaded with concerned and sweet messages, which does us so much good! Thank you for this. Lieke has to stay in the hospital for a few days, after which she can continue to recover at home.”
