Göztepe FK was the guest of Galatasaray in the 18th week of Trendyol Super League. Coach Stanimir Stoilov of the Izmir team, which lost the match 2-1, made striking statements.
“WE WERE BETTER IN THE SECOND HALF”
It was a very tough match. Both teams competed well. Galatasaray was better in the first half, we were better in the second half. We could not capitalize on the positions we captured. Göztepe played to win here. We are a young team and we must continue to work. We must work to improve systems, tactics and self-confidence. Apart from the result, it wasn’t a bad match for us.
“REFEREES HAVE TO IMPROVE THEMSELVES”
It’s not my job to talk about referees. My team has enough problems to solve. Everyone in football, coaches, presidents, clubs, should not talk too much about referees. A healthy environment should be provided for referees to improve themselves. Referees should always improve themselves, this is a necessity. It is not my job to comment on these matters. There are enough people in TFF about this. In Turkish football, everyone should focus on the field rather than the referee. Referees also have to improve themselves in the same way.
