On Sunday, Manchester City beat a really weak Leicester 2-0 away from home and broke their five-match winless streak again. In terms of game events and goal positions, the match was such that, with Leicester’s better luck, City’s victory might well not have happened. Leicester created even more goal threats than Manchester City in the match. It says a lot about City’s mental state that both star player Erling Haaland and coach Pep Guardiola were almost speechless with relief after the game ended. Despite the win, City is still under enormous pressure, and it wouldn’t even be a real surprise if West Ham’s possible lead goal on Saturday completely overturned the game of the Manchester team.
