FC Bayern has ended Frans Krätzig’s loan in Stuttgart early. But the defender should already have a new club – also in the Bundesliga.

FC Bayern Munich will apparently continue to loan out their U21 international Frans Krätzig immediately after the early end of his loan at VfB Stuttgart. As the pay-TV channel Sky and the “Bild” newspaper report, the 21-year-old defender will spend the rest of the season with Bundesliga club 1. FC Heidenheim.

A purchase option is therefore not provided, as Krätzig’s contract with the German record champions runs until June 2027.

Krätzig only received a little playing time in Stuttgart. The defender only appeared four times for the runner-up’s first team and played two more games in the 3rd league for the Swabians’ second team. According to media reports, these limited playing times led to Bayern officials ending the originally planned loan prematurely.

Krätzig went through FC Bayern’s youth teams via the U17 and U19 to the Kordmeister’s second team. In October 2023 he switched to the professionals and was awarded to Austria Vienna for the first time in February 2024. In the summer of last year it went to Stuttgart and now apparently on the Ostalb in Heidenheim.
