It was surprising news in the fall: the bitter diet guru Sonja Bakker would remigrate from Ibiza to the Netherlands. Or not? She is fickle. “And that costs her 160,000 euros!”

Sonja Bakker has become very media shy and can no longer be reached by anyone in her villa in Ibiza. Both Privé and Story reported last fall that she is returning to our country. The great loss of her two eldest sons, who live in Hoorn, would be the reason for her return to North Holland.

Remigration

It concerns 22-year-old Tristan and 20-year-old Finn from her marriage to Koen Lenting. “Her sons regularly come to the island, but saying goodbye started to hurt Sonja more and more,” said a source in Privé. “Ibiza remains her favorite place to live. She has her friends there, but she misses her eldest children.”

Sonja finds it difficult that there is no longer daily contact. Especially now that her work has dried up. “That’s the reason she wants to go back, because she certainly doesn’t do it for the climate here. She still did some photography, but that was no longer very successful. And her online diet advice hasn’t been updated in a long time.”

Merchant Kak

Sonja had signed the purchase of a mansion in the center of Hoorn worth 1.7 million euros. But she is not going to live there, reports weekly magazine Privé now.

A local resident mentions Sonja in the magazine ‘Koopman Kak’. “That’s what we call people who buy something with a lot of boasting and fanfare and then abandon it a little later.”

Reflection period

Initially, Sonja seemed to really want to live there. “After the three days of official reflection period before Sonja was finally committed to the purchase, there seemed to be no problem. A week passed and then she suddenly changed her mind and informed the real estate agent that she wanted to cancel the purchase,” says Privé.

“She gave the reason that the house for two people was very large and she wanted to be in Ibiza part of the time and would therefore only live in the house occasionally. An apartment would suit her better and that is what we are now looking for.”

160,000 euros

The sellers won’t let Sonja get away with it. “This fickleness is now costing Sonja dearly. As legally regulated, Sona had to pay a fine of approximately 160,000 euros before she could finally have the purchase contract terminated.”

Of course, sellers can choose to waive that fine, but they have already moved and are not happy with the vacancy. “They don’t think the excuses of their would-be buyer are worth anything.”
