Still hesitant, watery and constantly displaced by clouds, the sun showed itself along the coast today after weeks of grayness. It was therefore busy in Zandvoort, full of people getting a breath of fresh air. One of them says: “Finally sun, we need this.”
Good intentions
Between the hordes there was a single runner and a beach cyclist, all full of good intentions. “We are going to run the Amsterdam marathon,” say two friends dressed in running outfits, who admit that ‘the baggage of the past holidays’ needs to be removed.
A group of paraglider pilots attracted the most attention. Having started in Langvelderslag, the wind almost automatically blew them to Zandvoort. “A wonderful feeling,” says one of them, “you are literally as free as a bird.”
